It does not help to shred any extra calories rather burdens us with acidity, indigestion etc. This is why any dietician emphasises on balanced diet which has to be taken on time.

It includes healthy and heavy breakfast in the morning, followed by lunch in the afternoon before two and then followed by dinner after seven. The easiest way to keep yourself healthy is to have the right quantity of quality food at a certain interval.

What is Balanced diet?

We all have a misconception with conflicting dietary opinions. Balanced diet does not mean less amount of food in your plate. Our body demands vitamins, protein, minerals and calcium. Balanced diet supplies these nutrients adequately and helps to build up immunity. These nutrients can easily be derived from vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and dairy products.

What to Eat for Breakfast?

It is the first meal of the day that always energizes us to start the day. Studies show that first meal is more effective when it is light. You can have bread, boiled egg and a glass of milk for breakfast. Corn flakes and oats are considered healthier than this.

You can also have fruits and juice which are enriched with vitamin and calcium but certainly not with empty stomach. The perfect time to have breakfast starts from 7 am to 9 am. The items have to be light but filling. The ideal gap between breakfast and lunch is three hours.

What to Eat for Lunch?

It’s a fact that our body also needs carbohydrate that includes glucose as they are the vital source of energy. Carbohydrates can be obtained through whole grain, for example rice, pulses, millets and oats. Besides these whole grain items, some vegetables are rich in fiber which helps to digest. The best way to obtain glucose naturally is from fruits.

Perfect Diet:

Your perfect diet would be incomplete without your protein intake. It is present in pulses, meat, egg, fish, nut, dairy products in abundance. Inadequate or excessive intake of protein affects badly. As per the research protein intake for an adult man should be from 50- 60 grams/day. The right amount of protein is important to build our body. It determines our overall health, body type. Those who are deprived of animal protein, majorly rely on protein supplements which are equally helpful for body.

So, in lunch you can have rice, roti, pulses, and animal products like fish, meat and including vegetables. Add salad in your lunch which is low in calories and also helps to lose weight. Salads contain fiber which reduces the bad cholesterol.  It is a natural way to cure constipation. You can mix up various vegetables and add some chicken strips to make it more delicious.

There’s a long gap between lunch and dinner and to curb the gap you can opt for some healthy snacks like soap, boiled noodles and other appetizers.

What should we Have for Dinner?

Dinner is the last meal of the day which has to be very light and easily digestible. Corn, carbs like pasta, bread, beans and foods that contain high protein and carbohydrate must be avoided. Protein and carb are difficult to burn off at night as there is no activity. Light chicken and tawa roti is the best option for dinner. Green salads are also good choice. Whole grains like brown rice, whole wheat bread are equally healthy for dinner.
